Graduate on time with support from UB TrACE!

The University at Buffalo TrACE program provides eligible transfer students with support to finish their degree on time, including a Cost of Attendance Award and a Textbook Stipend, comprehensive personalized advisement, academic support and career development.

To qualify for this program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be accepted to the University at Buffalo as an incoming transfer student with prior completion of an associate degree.
  • Be a New York State resident and/or eligible for in-state tuition.
  • Complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application.
  • Be PELL-eligible and accept any federal and state grand aid awarded.
  • Cannot be affiliated/enrolled with any existing special population program (e.g., EOP).
  • All majors are eligible, pending review of a student's record to ensure completion within two years. Program eligibility for certain majors may be impacted if you have not completed prerequisite coursework at your prior college. You must be able to complete the UB requirements within 60 credits in order to be eligible.
  • Adhere to TrACE requirements, including participation in advisement, academic support and career development.
