There’s no better way to find out what we’re all about!
If you want to know more about a college, there’s no substitute for an in-person visit. At the University at Buffalo, we offer a number of ways for you to get a firsthand look at one of the nation’s leading public research universities.
You can attend an information session, meet with an admissions advisor, tour the campus, sit in on a class and more. Choose the events that fit your needs and schedule to see why so many talented students like you choose UB.
The Visit UB Program
Visit UB (or VUB) is our most popular visitation program. It includes an information session that gives an overview of our academic and student support programs, student life, costs and financial aid, the application process and more, as well as a student-led walking tour of our North Campus. The information session and tour will take approximately two hours. The Visit UB program is offered year-round and on select Saturdays during the academic year. To sign up for a VUB, visit our registration calendar and select “Visit UB.”
1-on-1 Information Sessions (Tour not included)
Individual information sessions are available for your convenience. They are geared toward guests who are unable to attend one of our Visit UB presentations. These sessions, offered Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., provide you an opportunity to meet with an admissions advisor and obtain general information about UB and the application process. After your session, you are encouraged to explore campus on your own by taking our self-guided walking tour. To set up an information session with an admissions advisor, visit our reception desk in 12 Capen Hall.
North Campus Guided Tours
We offer guided general walking tours of our North Campus on select mornings. The tour includes stop at classrooms, libraries, recreation and athletic complexes and more. Tours depart from Capen Hall at 10 a.m. Admissions advisors will be available to meet individually with visitors prior to and at completion of the tour. Visit our online registration calendar to reserve your space.
