SUNY applications are available at high school counseling offices. Late September, 2008
Recommended ACT test date for fall admission. September 13, 2008
Recommended SAT test date for fall admission. October 4, 2008
Office of Admissions begins to acknowledge receipt of fall applications. Mid-October, 2008
Fall Open House October 18, 2008
ACT test date for fall admission. October 25, 2008
Freshman application filing date for Early Decision (early notification program). November 1, 2008
Recommended SAT test date for fall admission. November 1, 2008
Recommended freshman application filing date. Early November, 2008
SAT test date for fall admission. December 6, 2008
ACT test date for fall admission. December 13, 2008
Early Decision candidates will be notified. Mid-December, 2008
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available for 2008-09 academic year. Mid-December, 2008
All decisions on scholarship awards will be based on academic credentials received by this date. December 31, 2008
Early Decision tuition deposit deadline. January 15, 2009
First round of UB admission decisions and merit scholarship offers mailed (rolling basis thereafter). UB also begins mailing first round of invitations to the University Honors College, University Scholars Program, and the Daniel Acker Scholars Program. Mid-February, 2009
UB's priority due date to file the FAFSA. However, you should file by February 1 to be considered for the best possible financial aid package. March 1, 2009
Spring Open House for accepted students and parents. Check back later this winter for more information and registration details. March 28, 2009
Tuition/Housing deposit deadline (for students admitted after April 20, the deposit due date is ten days from the date of acceptance letter). May 1, 2009
Various dates - Freshman and Transfer Orientation Conferences. Information will be sent to accepted students upon payment of tuition deposit to the Office of Admissions. Summer 2009
Classes begin. August 31, 2009
