Physical Therapy (DPT)

*This is not a baccalaureate degree program; it is, rather, a six-year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).

The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program comprises three academic years of undergraduate study and three calendar years of professional graduate study. The undergraduate portion of the curriculum is completed as an exercise science major in the Department of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. Students who follow the first three years of the exercise science (ES) curriculum will have completed all the prerequisite coursework for the DPT program.

The DPT program has a longstanding history of excellence in clinical education and has enjoyed continuous CAPTE accreditation for more than 60 years. The PT program is highly competitive with a class-size of only 42 students, smaller than many other programs in the country. We highly value practical experience. Students complete 52 weeks of clinical affiliations during their 3 years in the program, more than nearly any program in the nation. Our graduates are successful. Our ultimate board exam pass rate and employment rate have been 100% for the past 3 years. Our students graduate. Our graduation rate has been over 95% for the past 3 years.
