My Free Time: Teaching spinning at UB's gym and learning the meringue in a university-sponsored ballroom dancing class.

Whether it's a classroom or a shopping mall, Dawn, a student from Singapore, is fascinated by cross-cultural communication. "I want to know what makes people comfortable," she says. The communication department's focus on theory and research drew her to UB. "I know my education at UB will prepare me well for graduate school."

Dawn also likes to visit of Niagara Falls, a natural wonder only a twenty minute drive from UB: "It's both humbling and therapeutic at the same time."
