Aid For Part-time Study (APTS)

  • Eligibility: 3-11 credits per semester, U.S. citizen and New York state resident, good academic standing.
  • Amount: varies

Pell Grant Program

  • Eligibility: enrolled, taking at least 3 credits, U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, good academic standing, based on estimated family contribution
  • Amount: up to $4,050 annually
  • Repay: no
  • How to apply: file FAFSA (online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov) by March 1; applications available at any financial aid office, high school guidance office. PELL: 800-433-3243

Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG)

  • Eligibility: enrolled, taking at least 3 credits, U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, good academic standing, undergraduate with exceptional need, must qualify for Pell grant
  • Amount: variable awards; usually from $100 up to $4,000 annually, depending on availability of funds
  • Repay: no
  • How to apply: file FAFSA (online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov) by March 1; Applications available at any financial aid office or high school guidance office

Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)

  • Eligibility: full-time, enrolled, U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, good academic standing, fall within income limits, New York state resident
  • Amount: ranges from $275 to $4,375 annually
  • Repay: no
